Meeting transcription with speaker labels

Upload a recording of a meeting, call or interview, and Voisee turns it into text with the labels Speaker 1, Speaker 2. Download the result as TXT or as SRT subtitles.

How to transcribe a meeting

1. Save the meeting recording

Save the recording with the tools of the service where the meeting took place, or record the conversation with a voice recorder. An mp3, wav, m4a, ogg, flac, mp4 or webm file works, up to 500 MB and up to 3 hours.

2. Upload the file with Split by speaker ticked

In the cabinet on the website, in the computer app or in the Android app, choose the file and tick Split by speaker: the lines get the labels Speaker 1, Speaker 2.

3. Download the text

Download the finished text as TXT or as SRT subtitles. The transcript stays in the My transcripts list.

Where to get the meeting recording

Voisee transcribes a recording file. Save the meeting recording from your video conferencing service, Yandex Telemost or Zoom with the service's own tools, or record the meeting with a voice recorder or a phone, then upload the file.

Voisee does not join calls and does not fetch recordings from meeting services by itself: you need the file.

mp3, wav, m4a, ogg, flac, mp4 and webm work. The file can be up to 500 MB and the recording up to 3 hours, the same on every plan.

What text split by speaker looks like

Tick Split by speaker and the lines get the labels Speaker 1, Speaker 2 and so on. Splitting is available for any language and on any plan.

Speakers have no names: the labels are just numbers.

On noisy recordings, when people interrupt each other or talk at once, the labels can be wrong, and one person can get two labels.

Interviews and calls

A recording of an interview or a call is transcribed the same way: upload the file and tick Split by speaker.

The text segments have timecodes, so it is easy to find the quote you need in the recording.

Where to upload a recording

You can transcribe a meeting recording on the website and in the apps.

  • On the website, in the cabinet.
  • In the computer app, the Transcription section.
  • In the Android app, Transcribe a file.
  • The My transcripts list is shared by the cabinet, the computer and Android. Transcripts are kept for 7 days.

The computer and Android apps are on the download page.
